Startup Accelerators: boost your development!

Apply to the call for projects of the two new NEOMA Business School accelerators: NEOMA EdTech Accelerator (based in Reims) and NEOMA Mobility Accelerator (based in Reims)! To find out more, we met Denis Gallot, Director of the NEOMA BS Startup Lab, the Department dedicated to promoting the creativity and entrepreneurship.

NEOMA ALUMNI: what are these accelerators exactly for?

Denis GALLOT: Accelerators allow entrepreneurs, over a period of three months, to optimize the development of their startup by providing an intensive, relevant program staffed by professionals and by testing their concept with our network of local partners. 

NEOMA ALUMNI: In what areas are they specialized?

Denis GALLOT: Our accelerators are open to any entrepreneur marketing an innovative product or service in the fields of education and mobility in the broad sense. We chose these two themes because they correspond to two major assets of NEOMA Business School. 

First of all, the school has always been a pioneer in the field of innovative pedagogy, and even more so with the launch in 2016 of immersive virtual reality within our programs. We are the first school in the world to offer our students case studies using VR.

In addition, the Rouen campus is located in a region with a long-standing past in industry and logistics, with the port of Rouen, the leading grain port in Europe, and the Seine Valley, of national interest since 2013 with the expansion of the port network and strong support from market players.

NEOMA ALUMNI: What is the biggest added value of these accelerators in your opinion?

Denis GALLOT: For me, these two accelerators provide an extremely useful testing ground: on the one hand the 9,500 students of the School for EdTech startups, and on the other hand the highly dynamic local network of logistic partners for Mobility startups. I insist on the experimentation phase because it is crucial for identifying whether a startup is going in the right direction or if it should review its concept and "pivot". It is the basis for all strategic thinking when starting a business.

This is quite an opportunity for all graduate entrepreneurs !
